Carrots are one of the top
cancer-fighting foods, along with other yummy vegetables like broccoli,
cabbage, and cauliflower according to the World Cancer Research Fund. Carrots are a wonderful food source of
nutrients that reduce the incidence of stroke, heart disease, and eye disease.
Though we forgo carrots, because of their sweetness while we are following the 5&1 Plan during the weight loss phase, carrots are welcomed back as we transition and move into maintenance. They are tasty and good for us raw, roasted, steamed, boiled, bakes, and incorporated into many dishes!
