Monday's Check In Note 10/14/13

'Morning Health Determined "Co-Workers!"
This has been an incredible week! We received six referrals and helped seven new clients get started!!! This is all because of each of you - you are attending to your personal health journey and reaching out to help others reclaim their health too.  Greg and I are sooo proud of you!  Each step you take, each healthy habit you practice, and each triumph you achieve, is a beacon of light for the next person who's looking for what each of us has found. Just think, lighting a match is easy ... the match isn't hot, nor is it heavy ... It lights our way and lights the next candle thus igniting understanding and hope as the light gets passed along. Congratulations!!!

Questions I received this week:
  • How do I place my next order?  Ask me for instructions and the grid I use.

  • How do I refer someone to you? First, when someone notices your slim, new shape and increasing energy, please tell them, "I'm working with a Health Coach! Her name is Polly, I know she'd love to hear from you, listen to your story, and help you decide if this is a good program for you." (Avoid saying: "I'm doing Medifast" ... they may google it, order it, use it like a "diet food" and fail as most dieting attempts do!)
  • Do you think I'd be a good Health Coach? Well, if you are sharing your experience and saying, "Yes, I'll help you!"  then, YOU are already coaching! Wherever you are, flip over to chapters 13 & 14 and take a moment to read about Dr A's approach to movement and exercise. One client told me, "It feels so good to move now that I'm not carrying the equivalent of a 35 pound bag of dog food (the biggest one!) around all the time!"

"I finally know why I hesitated so long ... I was afraid of failure ... What a relief!  I was amazed at how successful I was and when my weight started to creep up over the summer, I just got back on program and took off the 4 pounds so easily!

"Now it's easy to find a parking place because it feels ok to walk a ways.

"I saw the patient I referred to you last month. She looks great! I was able to decrease her prescription for Blood Pressure meds!

"Going to start Week 4 of transition tomorrow, I am happy to report that I am doing well.  Lots of planning out meals, but I feel like I am eating a lot, all the time and as long as I stick to the script, it is happening.  I think my body likes eating more too because I have lost 2 more pounds each week! 

"I was able to run/jog for 20 minutes straight at the jog-a-thon at my work and even kept up with some of my students.  I was happy to say I did 6 laps!  A mile and a half. Going into transition was scary but I am glad I did it because I was ready.
