Monday Note ... Let's go Shopping!

Happy Monday and 1st of July!!!
Call, email, or text - check in with me today - How was your week on program?  What have you learned?  Who are you coaching?  Who needs us???

Have a great week and a great 4th of July  ... don't go hungry, get lots of water, show off your slimmer you, and know that by teaming up, we are truly helping America become a healthier, more prosperous place to live!!!

Dr Andersen has written a new book and I'll send it with your order when you restart the 5&1 program or refer a new client this month. Discovering Your Optimal Health is a Game Changer ... It changes the way we think about optimal health plus, it’s an easy read!  If you or someone you know has been "dieting" or has lost their vision, let's get this book into their hands!  It facilitates a fundamental shift in how we think and we become motivated from within. If you refer anyone to us in the next 30 days, we will get them a free book as well!!

Summer is finally here and there are so many things to shop for ... swim suits and "I'm thinner now" clothes, camping equipment and running shoes because we can move and sleep with more ease, but have you thought about health and life insurance??? (Yikes, how did that enter the conversation?)  Check out the blog that Greg just posted called Weighing in for the Lowest Premiums.

Favorite Quotes this week:
Hit 239 this morning. Never thought I would 230's again.

While putting in my order (for a restart) I got so excited ... it was like seeing all my old friends ... the Peanutbutter Bars, Chicken Noodle Soup, Choc Pudding ... and I get so many new options!!!  I can't wait to try the Pizza Bites, Mac & Cheese, and Brownies!  Thank you for staying in touch and being my life-line!!

Got back from vacation last night, and started the program this morning. I’m excited to become a healthier me!!

We'd like you to present your program to our employees ... (YEAH!!!)

My sister is getting married in November.  I am the maid of honor.  She mentioned her other two bridesmaids and I know both of them are taller than me and thin, as is my sister.  I started to have a little bit of anxiety about being the short, fat bridesmaid because it is what I have always thought of myself...  It took me a few minutes before I started to smile.  I changed my mind.  I am going to be the short, HOT bridesmaid.  I expect to be at my goal weight by then, if not, close to it!  I will be the girl who worked for it!!!

The weirdest thing -  I was asked me to input my weight and I mistakenly wrote 276.2.  I have never weighed 276.2 (may as well have) but it felt natural to write that "2" in front of my weight.  So much so, that it took me two days to realize my error and switch it to 176.2.  Switching my brain to think of myself as a thinner person is harder than I thought but I am trying to do it.

This week's photo and story: When complements aren't complements  ...

The other day my friend was saying, "You are STILL on that diet??!!!??"
Yes, I am on program and I am still 40 pounds away from my goal.
"You are going to lose 40 more pounds?  But your face is so SKINNY."
Thank you ...
But inside, it didn't feel like a compliment.  (My friend) is naturally thin and doesn't have a clue what I am going through or how difficult it is to say no to a couple of beers, a glass of wine or a cookie at a party.   I wanted to scream, "I am technically still OBESE!!!  You should put down the carbs and sugar and join me in these healthy changes I have made!"  But all that came out was, "Thank you". How do you reach out to the unhealthy skinny people?

I'm going to say it again: Have a great week and a great 4th of July  ... don't go hungry, get lots of water, show off your slimmer you, and know that by teaming up, we are truly helping America become a healthier, more prosperous place to live!!!
