4th of July? No Problem!

Slimming down is one of the most challenging things I've ever done and staying slim is equally daunting at times!  Here's a list of the tricks clients have used when they are on our Program and burning through their personal store of the golden fuel, their fat.

Remember, the most important goal is to gain new habits and reclaim health for a life time!!  I hope you'll find these little tricks helpful ... Please share YOURS!!!

Clients tell me they have:
  • Cut up their protein and vegges for an salad before leaving for work so it's ready when they get home.
  • Labeled Ziplock bags with Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs ... and put their 5 meal packets in them
  • Filled paper lunch bags with 5 meal packets each so every day is a surprise
  • Strategically placed slips of paper with the scale weight they intend to see next time they weigh in - "I leave these on various counters throughout the house."
  • Made a list of numbers (scale weights) on a page to cross off as they see and "say goodbye" to that scale weight forever ... 153, 152, 151, 150, 149, 148, 147, 146, 145, 144, 143, 142, 141, 140, 139, 138, ... 
  • Tracked their weight on a calendar by the bathroom scale 
  • Hung up their fat pants so they can see them frequently, "I am making fabulous progress!"
  • Hung up a beautiful dress that they plan to wear on a special occasion, "I can hardly wait!"
  • Cut up celery and kept it in the fridge for "emergencies"
  • Kept broth or pickle on hand in case of a headache or hunger pang 
  • Considered a glass of water before going on the hunt in the fridge
  • Gotten rid of all distracting foods from their home ... having those foods out of sight helps
  • Kept their car stocked so they have meals with them and never get caught hungry
  • Taken foods they can eat to parties
  • Reminded themselves that a tempting treat is, "For Another Time, Maybe Later"
  • Adjusted their self-talk ... "If I get hungry before mealtime, I picture the fat melting a little more! Besides, nothing tastes as good as slim feels!!!"
  • Remembered the Healthy Habits"I've got them printed and posted in my kitchen!" 
  • Checked in with their Health Coach ... "I text, email and call whenever I need to!"
  • Napped when needed
  • Smiled and laughed a lot!!
  • Made a Dream Board with pictures of doing slim stuff ... I love it!
