"Waste Basket" Vs. "Waist Basket"

In the Election Day edition of the Oregonian Food Day, there is an article about the amount of food we, as Americans, waste every year.  The article states that the amount of food we waste is estimated to be 40%.  This accounts for a  lot of food.

It is my contention, that with 42.8% of Americans expected to grow into the obese  column by 2018 that the real "waist" is literally, right under our noses.  With the drug of choice being promoted and sold to us in every market and fast food restaurant, just saying "No" is not always easy.  One day at a time, one meal at a time, let us learn to make healthy choices.  This is a non partisan, daily election issue.  Choose how you vote with your dollars.
