Day 18 of 30 Days of Hope and Inspiration: Katia's Story


Katia has become one of my dearest friends and favorite Health Coach!  She was referred to me on my birthday in August, 2009.  She told me once that I came as an answer to prayer ... I know it was mutual and I'm so grateful!  Here is her story:

"In 2009 I had given up ever finding anything that worked. I had weighed over 300 pounds my entire adult life. I was tipping the scales at 333, met my Health Coach, Polly, I decided to try one more program.

My physician demanded that I have my labs drawn and that was when I discovered I was an undiagnosed diabetic, averagi
ng way over 200 blood sugar, with high blood cholesterol and triglycerides to accompany my already high blood pressure. Within four months my labs were in order and by 14 months I had released 130 pounds.

I have maintained that weight loss for two years, and am now training for a 10K and am committed to training for a triathlon. In addition, I am paying it forward and loving my life as a Health Coach.  I am working with folks from all over the country."
