What is food? A recipe for better health.

According to Wikipedia food is defined as:  "...any substance[1] consumed to provide nutritional support for the body. It is usually of plant or animal origin, and contains essentialnutrients, such as carbohydratesfatsproteinsvitamins, or minerals. The substance is ingested by an organism and assimilated by the organism's cells in an effort to produce energy, maintain life, or stimulate growth."

That reminds me of the joke where a man walks into the store and asks, where the Health Food Isle was?  After being directed to a remote section of the store he then asks the clerk, "what is on the rest of the shelves?"

The bottom line is that if what we are feeding ourselves does not "maintain life, or stimulate growth," then it is not food and we should not be putting it into our bodies.   One of the problems is that we no longer hunt, grow or gather our own food and have lost touch with the origins of food .  The "food industry" has redefined the term food to include many things that have a taste which is pleasing but has little value in promoting health and often throws the body out of balance.  Health Coach Resource would like to assist you in finding that balance once more in order that you can create health  and enjoy your life.
