In one of his recent post entitled, "The Habit of Habits," Robert Fritz explains the importance of creating new good habits rather than just trying to break old old ones.  We always want to understand and be aware of our current situation or reality.  Instead of trying to break free of the negative bad habit, which creates self conflict, we can form new positive habits that create tension to move us forward in a creative and positive direction.
