Think Lean and Survive the Family Feast!

Here are some tips from Dr Andersen and his wife Lori:
Think Lean and Focus on the Fellowship ... not the food! 

If you who are currently on the 5 & 1 Plan:  Stay on your program as close as you can.  Drink a shake 1 hour before your meal.  Some of you will want to follow your 5 and 1 completely… Congratulations for your desire and commitment.  

Some of you will feel deprived if you do not get to taste a little of your favorite foods.  In this case, this is our suggestion… In addition to your lean meal...protein, salad and vegetables....use The One Tablespoon Rule:  Choose 3 things that are you would like to taste.  Limit yourself to one tablespoon of each of those things.  Then, 'savor the flavor' by eating very slowly!  Drink a sip of water between each bite.  You can do this.....I have all the confidence in the world in you!  Eat slowly ... and enjoy the conversation!

They'll be looking, watching, and wondering ...

You will have a wonderful opportunity to show off your slimmer self in the next few days to family and friends who haven't seen last Thanksgiving.  They will be looking, watching and wondering ... "She looks great!"  "How did he do that?"  "Could I do it too?"  "Do you think she could help me?" 

Please tell your family and friends, "I'm working with a Health Coach, her name is Polly.  You can reach her and her husband Greg at 503-313-4820.  They will help you envision what you want, make a plan, and do everything they can to get you into fat-burning within three days.  They'll stick with you, help you get to your goals and into a life-time of better health habits. Their services are complimentary with the program."   

Together we can redefine "Health Care" and break the cyclic progression of obesity, hypertension, diabetes, kidney failure, heart attack, and living in fear and misery.  Did you know that taking 50 pounds of excess fat off gives us ten additional years of quality life??? What are you going to do with yours? 

Here's some of the comments I've heard in the last 2 days:
  • "I was 200# in the 9th grade and have done the yo-yo thing my whole life.  I was on Weight Watchers 8 times ... I've done Phen Phen, shots and pills. Nothing worked.  Now, I'm down 90# - thank you soooo much!
  • "I'd given up.  I thought I was just destined to be fat forever and was pretending to be happy about it.  When we saw you and Greg, I told my husband, "Honey, this is it!  We're doing it together!!!"  Thank you so much!  I'm down 60#  Chuck is down 114!
  • "Two years ago, I weighed 360# ... actually more because my scale didn't go that high.  I'm down 100# so far and am so happy to have the tools to get me to my goal and lead to a life I never dreamed I'd have!!!
